Abstract:

In my bachelor´s thesis I deal with examining the manner how the ethnic Quiché is displayed from two different perspectives, in the mythology Popol Vuh and in the autobiography of Rigoberta Menchú. Therefore, the goal was to examine the manner how traditions and customs, still alive, are displayed and so to point out the fact that during the centuries there are no significant changes in the way they see the world and the society.

Abstract:

Ve své bakalářské práci se zabývám zkoumaním způsobu, jakým je zobrazeno etnikum Quiché, a to ze dvou perspektiv, v mytologii Popol Vuh a v autobiografii Rigoberty Menchú. Cílem práce bylo tedy zkoumat způsob zobrazení tradic a zvyků, které jsou živé až do současnosti, a poukázat tak na to, že v průběhu staletí nedochází k žadným zásadním změnám ve vnímaní světa a společnosti.
