Abstract:

Následující bakalářská práce se zabývá nástinem a srovnáním uměleckých děl z okruhu císaře Rudolfa II. ve sbírkách evropských galerií a muzeí. Rudolf II. byl jedním z nejvýznamnějších mecenášů a jeho umělecké sbírky patřily k největším a nejimpozantnějším v celé Evropě. Sběratelskou vášeň zdědil po svých příbuzných, tedy hlavně po svém dědovi Ferdinandu I. a svém otci Maxmiliánu II. Rudolf II. byl příkladem renesanční touhy po moci skrze vědění a umění. Během jeho života byla pro něj charakteristická sběratelská vášeň, nevšední zanícení pro umění a přírodní vědy, kdy toto vše často zastiňovalo jeho vladařské povinnosti. Hlavními cíli této práce je zkoumání osobnosti Rudolfa II. jako sběratele, zobrazit podobu císařových uměleckých zájmů a jeho sběratelských aktivit, charakterizovat Rudolfovu Kunstkomoru a galerii a jejich osudy a zánik. Na základě odborné literatury a dostupných zdrojů byl nastíněn základní přehled zastoupení těchto uměleckých děl v dnešních evropských galeriích, a to nejenom děl pocházejících přímo z produkce rudolfínských umělců, ale i uměleckých děl jiných autorů, které tvořily součást Rudolfových sbírek.

Abstract:

The following bachelor's thesis deals with an outline and comparison of art works of art from the circle of Emperor Rudolf II. in the collections of European galleries and museums. Rudolf II. he was one of the most important patrons and his art collections were among the largest and most impressive in all of Europe. He inherited his passion for collecting from his relatives, ie mainly from his grandfather Ferdinand I and his father Maximilian II. Rudolf II. he was an example of the Renaissance desire for power through knowledge and art. During his life, he was characterized by a passion for collecting, an extraordinary zeal for the arts and sciences, all of which often overshadowed his ruling duties. The main goals of this work are to examine the personality of Rudolf II. as a collector, to show the form of the emperor's artistic interests and his collecting activities, to characterize Rudolf's Kunstkomora and the gallery and their destinies and demise. On the basis of professional literature and available sources, a basic overview of the representation of these works of art in today's European galleries was outlined, not only works originating directly from Rudolfinian artists, but also works of art by other authors that formed part of Rudolf's collections.
