Analysis of the Phenomenon of Sharing Accommodation and its impact on Tourism

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou sdílené ekonomiky a jejích dopadů na turismus. Sdílená ekonomika je pojímána jako nový ekonomický model, který výrazně zasahuje do života civilizace 21. století a nabourává stávající poměry. Po vymezení teoreticko-metodologického aparátu se práce zaměřuje na obecné definování turismu a jeho celosvětovém společensko-ekonomickém významu. V praktické části je přiblížena služba Airbnb, jakožto nejsignifikantnější zástupce sdílené ekonomiky s největšími dopady na turismus. Závěr se věnuje shrnutí všech pozitiv a negativ, které sdílené ubytování přináší.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis focuses on phenomenon of sharing economy and its impacts on tourism. The sharing economy represents new economic model, which significantly changes life in 21st century and disrupts current conditions. After the description of theoretical and methodological approach, the thesis concentrates on defining tourism and its global socio-economic importance. In the following practical part, there is in-depth description of Airbnb service, as the most relevant representative of sharing economy with the biggest impacts on a contemporary tourism. Summary of this document is about comparing all the positives and negatives that sharing economy brings.
