Design of integration of third party hardware and services with electronic point of sale (EPOS)

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je návrh řešení integrace hardwaru a služeb třetí strany s elektronickým pokladním systémem (EPOS) za pomoci webové služby. V České republice je plánován přechod na elektronické mýtné pro vozidla o hmotnosti do 3,5 tuny od 1. ledna 2011. Současné časové dálniční kupóny nahradí elektronická zařízení tzv. elektronické kupóny (eKupóny). Diplomová práce se zabývá návrhem webové služby pro výměnu zpráv mezi EPOS a centrálním systémem třetí strany pro správu eKupónů. Základním úkolem je seznámení s problematikou plánovaných změn, architekturou EPOS a přehledem technologií použitých v diplomové práci. Druhá část obsahuje analýzu obchodních procesů, návrh modelu webové služby a výměny zpráv mezi EPOS a centrálním systémem třetí strany. V závěru se věnuji problematickým okruhům spojeným se zajištěním kvality.

Abstract:

The target of this thesis is to design a solution of integration of the third party hardware and services with an electronic point of sale (EPOS) by using a web service. In the Czech Republic there is going to be a transition to the electronic toll for vehicles weighing up to 3,5 tones from the January 1st, 2011. The current highway coupons will be replaced by electronic devices called electronic coupons (eCoupons). The thesis deals with the design of the web service for the message exchange between EPOS and the third party central system which manages eCoupons. The basic task is to introduce problems of the upcoming changes, EPOS architecture and the overview of used technologies. The second part contains the analysis of the business processes, the design of the web service model and exchanges of messages between EPOS and third party central system. I deal with range of issues which are connected to quality assurance in the end.
