Polyphasic analysis of the phylogenetic relationship of the genera Merismopedia and Microcrocis

Abstract:
V této studii bylo pomocí polyfázického přístupu včetně metod nezávislých na kultivaci studováno mnoho izolátů tradičních rodů Merismopedia a Microcrocis. Tyto taxony byly charakterizované geneticky, morfologicky, ultrastrukturálně a ekologicky. Diskutovány byly fylogenetické vztahy a možné taxonomické důsledky.
Abstract:
In this study, numerous isolates of the traditional genera Merismopedia and Microcrocis (Cyanobacteria) were studied using a polyphasic approach including cultivation-independent methods. These taxa were characterised genetically, morphologically, ultrastructurally, and ecologically. The phylogenetic relationship as well as possible taxonomical implications were discussed.
