Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Josef Förster – cyrilista a skladatel.“ pojednává o osobnosti Josefa Förstera z hlediska názorového a organizačního v oblasti nové zvukové podoby varhan v souvislosti s nástupem názorového proudu zvaného u nás jako cyrilismus a také z hlediska kompozičního. V souvislosti s Försterovým výrazným působením na poli organologické je kompozičně zkoumána oblast jeho tvorby varhanní.

Abstract:

Organ compositions of Josef Förster jr. are interesting from two points of view. By Josef Förster jr. we can see mainly context with overall change of esthetical organ ideal in Bohemia, which was mostly started by Förster himself. His compositions are professionally composed very well, but their invention does not exceed average of contemporary compositions. Compositions of J. B. Foerster are not very interesting with their organ-building context, as J. B. Foerster bases on that character of organ, which was promoted by Josef Förster jr. J. B. Foerster’s compositions are more interesting with their compositional aspect. J. B. Foerster uses organ like an orchestra, with delicious intensification of multicoloured dynamics, with distinct both harmonic and dynamic twists, and also with primary nevertheless changing melodic. This way composition with following characteristics arises: in comparison with Josef Förster jr. more evolutionary, regardless of the time of creation (1896, 1925) always conforming to purely romantic feeling. Only few of these compositions have been already critically edited and published. Some of them are surely worthy of that in future.
