Comparison of basic soil properties on selected areas of Pinus radiata of different age structures in Galicia (Spain)

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je srovnání fyzikálně chemických vlastností půdy v různě starých porostech Pinus radiata na plantážích v Galicii. Tyto plochy se nacházejí v klimatu příznivém pro plantážové monokulturní hospodářství, které je zde velmi intenzivně využíváno. Pro tuto práci bylo vybráno osm ploch a z každé byly odebrány 3 vzorky ve vzájemné vzdálenosti minimálně 20 metrů. Věková struktura plantáží je 47, 32, 29, 19, 16, 12, 9 a 5let, výchova porostů je shodná. Pro studii byly vybrány půdní analýzy: půdní reakce, charakteristiky sorpčního komplexu, oxidovatelný uhlík a elementární analýza (C, H, N, S). Pro základní statistické zpracování dat byl použit krabicový typ grafu. Výsledky potvrdily rozdíly v analyzovaných půdních vlastností v porostech Pinus radiata. Závěrem je možné konstatovat, že věk Pinus radiata a plantážový způsob hospodaření má vliv na základní půdní vlastnosti a to tak, že v nejstarších plantážích byly naměřeny nejnižší hodnoty fyzikálně chemických vlastností půdy.

Abstract:

The main interest of this work is comparison of mechanical and chemical properties of soils from Pinus radiata plantations in Galicia. These areas are situated in a climate favorable to monocultural plant management, which is heavily employed here. Overall eight plants were chosen with three samples being taken from each. Samples were taken with spacing of at least 20 metres. Age structure of the plantations is 47, 32, 29, 19, 16, 12, 9 and 5 years, plant management is identical. The main analysis were soil reaction, base saturation, carbon oxidation and elementar analysis (C, H, N, S). Data were represented with box chart. The results confirmed differences in analysed soil properties in Pinus radiata stands. In the end we came to conclusion that there are differences in age structures. The oldest plantations show lower values of mechanical and chemical properties of soil.
