Germanisms of the Třinec region from the historical and social perspective

Abstract:

The aim of this work is to discover the level of knowledge of the German borrowings in the dialect of the Cieszyn Silesia among the younger generation. The list of German borrowings, which was compiled from July 2017 to February 2018, served as a starting point for the socio-linguistic research. In the research took part 290 students from different schools, who were asked to fill in the questionnaire. On the basis of the research was found out, that the German borrowings are still used in the dialect of the Cieszyn Silesia and that the level of understanding depends on different criteria.

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je zjistit úroveň znalostí germanismů u mladší generace, které se objevují v nářečí Těšínského Slezska. Podkladem pro sociolingvistický výzkum byl seznam germanismů, který byl sestaven v období od července 2017 do února 2018 za pomoci aktivních uživatelů nářečí. Výzkumu, jehož metodou bylo dotazníkové šetření, se zúčastnilo 290 studentů škol z Třince a okolí. Na základě šetření bylo zjištěno, že znalost germanismů v nářečí Těšínského Slezska je poměrně vysoká a zároveň závislá na několika faktorech. Výsledkem předložené práce je komparace znalostí mezi starší a mladší generací a výčet faktorů, které je ovlivňují.
