Derivatives in accounting

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je charakterizovat derivátové kontrakty, jejich úlohu, oceňování a zachycení v účetnictví podnikatelů. Nejdříve je definován pojem derivát, poté následuje stručná charakteristika jednotlivých derivátových nástrojů a jejich členění z různých hledisek. V další části práce se zabývám účtováním a oceňováním derivátů v obecné rovině, což se promítá do závěrečné části práce, kde je postup účtování derivátů zobrazen na příkladu účtování a ocenění měnového a úrokového forwardu a nákupu kupní a prodejní opce.

Abstract:

The aim of this Bachelor thesis is to characterize the derivative contracts, their role, their valuation and bookkeeping of entrepreneurs. First is defined the term derivative, followed by a brief characteristics of individual derivative instruments and their breakdown of the different points of view. In the next part of the thesis I deal with accounting and valuation of derivatives in general, which is reflected in the final part of the work, where do derivatives displayed on the example of accounting and valuation of monetary and interest rate forward and purchase buying and selling options.
