Interacitions of quaternary benzophenanthridine alkaloids with DNA

Abstract:

Tato práce charakterizuje spektrální, především fluorescenční vlastnosti vybraných kvartérních benzo[c]fenantridinových alkaloidů (sanguinarin, chelirubin, sanguirubin, chelerythrin, chelilutin, makarpin a sanguilutin). Dále studované interakce alkaloidů s DNA sloužily k porovnání afinity jednotlivých alkaloidů k DNA. Dosažené výsledky v této práci mohou sloužit k porovnání využitelnosti kvartérních benzo[c]fenantridinových alkaloidů v diagnostice jako fluorescenční sondy pro nukleové kyseliny.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with spectral, specially fluorescence properties of seven selected quaternary benzo[c]phenantridine alkaloids (sanguinarine, chelerythrine, chelirubine, sanguirubine, chelilutine, sanguilutine and macarpine). Next part of this work is the study of fluorescence properties of all studied alkaloids in the presence of DNA in the comparison with fluorescence properties of free alkaloids. Results of this study can be used to compare the utility of the selected quaternary benzo[c]phenantridine alkaloids in the diagnosis as a fluorescence probes for nucleic acids.
