An assessment of the educational materials "A handbook for caregivers"

Abstract:

Cíl: Hlavním cílem průzkumu je zhodnocení edukačního materiálu "Příručka pro pečující" laickými pečovateli, pro které je určena a všeobecnými sestrami pracujícími v agenturách domácí péče. Metodika: Průzkumného šetření se zúčastnilo 30 laických pečovatelů pečujících o své příbuzné v domácím prostředí a 50 všeobecných sester pracujících v agenturách domácí péče. Průzkum probíhal od prosince 2016 do ledna 2017. K získání dat byla použita metoda kvantitativního průzkumu, nestandardizovaný dotazník pro pečující i sestry. Výsledky: Data byla zpracována z 24 dotazníků pečovatelů a 45 dotazníků všeobecných sester. Průzkumným šetřením bylo zjištěno, že většina pečujících i sester kladně hodnotí edukační příručku, její vzhled i obsah a je přesvědčena o jejím přínosu pro praxi. Respondenty bylo navrženo několik změn a zajímavých témat, ke kterým bude přihlíženo při úpravě příručky.

Abstract:

Objective: The main objective of the survey is to evaluate the educational material "Handbook for caregivers" for laic people, for whom it is intended, and for general nurses working in home care agencies. Methodology: An exploratory survey was attended by 30 laic caregivers who care for their relatives in their home environment and 50 nurses working in home care agencies. The survey was conducted from December 2016 to January 2017. Quantitative survey method, non-standardized questionnaire for caregivers and nurses, was used to obtain the data. Results: Conclusion: Providing information is the responsibility of each health care facility and education of clients, family and the preparation of information materials belongs to the activities of general nurses. When creating educational materials, it is necessary to adhere to certain principles, to adapt the content and the form to the needs of educants, evaluate the material together with them and then edit and update it.
