Water mills in the Košátecký potok (brook)

Abstract:

V této diplomové práci se soustředím na podrobné zmapování vodních mlýnů na toku Košáteckého potoka. Součástí diplomové práce je podrobná katalogizace jednotlivých objektů, dokumentace a architektonický popis stávajícího stavu objektů. Další části diplomové práce jsou nástin kulturní historie a paměti místa, technologického vývoje a modernizace technického zázemí popsaného a dokumentovaného v archivních pramenech. K splnění výše zadaných cílů kombinuji tradiční metody historické práce s moderními technologiemi, které umožní hlubší rozsah vědeckého poznání. Konkrétní metody jako je krajinný plošný a terénní průzkum, metody nedestruktivního archeologického průzkumu, částečné stavební zaměření, účelná fotodokumentace a podrobná deskripce dochovaných konstrukčních a technologických prvků je doplněno o důslednou pramennou heuristiku, která tvoří vedle terénního průzkumu a dokumentace těžiště mé diplomové práce.

Abstract:

The main subjekt of this thesis is focusing on a watermills located in Košátecký potok. The goal of which being definition of the acctual condition of the building and specification of the preserved construction elements through archive research and photo documentation. The premise also follows historical development of the mill, based on written notes dated between 19th - 20th century. Part of the next is paranthesis, focusing on the mill general craftmanship in order to mediate a better, more contextual view of the thesis.
