Cílem této bakalářské práce je překlad anglického textu z oblasti sociologie, vypracování komentáře a glosáře. Bakalářská práce se skládá ze dvou hlavních částí, teoretické a praktické. Teoretická část se zabývá základní teorií překladu, překladatelskými metodami, rolí překladatele a vymezením funkčních stylů užívaných v anglickém jazyce.
