The Crisis Management of Theatre Festival

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá fenoménem krizového managementu v obecné rovině i jeho aplikováním na oblast managementu kulturních organizací, konkrétně na řízení divadelních festivalů. Práce se postupně věnuje obecnému krizovému managementu s výhledem jeho využití pro divadelní festivaly, rizikovým faktorům ovlivňujícím realizaci festivalů (financování, marketing, program, lidské zdroje a vnější okolnosti) a způsobům eliminace jejich vlivu s důrazem na plánování, v závěru je uveden modelový příklad krizového řízení divadelního festivalu Dream Factory Ostrava. Cílem práce je syntéza teorie krizového managementu a praxe řízení divadelních festivalů s důrazem na nezbytnost takového propojení pro zlepšování manažerského řízení a realizace festivalů.

Abstract:

This Master’s thesis deals with the phenomenom of the crisis management in general and also with it‘s application on the management of cultural organizations, specifically on the management of theatre festivals. The thesis is dedicated to the crisis management focusing on the application on theatre festivals, to risk factors influencing the festival‘s realization (funding, marketing, program, human resources and external conditions) and to the ways of reducing their effects emphasising the planning. The thesis concludes with a model example of a particular crisis management of the Theatre Festival Dream Factory Ostrava. The purpose of the thesis is to synthetise the crisis management theory and the theatre festivals management practice with emphasis on the necessity of this connection for improvement of the management and festival’s realization.
