Substance dualism - historical and contemporary perspective
Abstract:
Cílem práce je obhájit relevantnost substančního dualismu jako teorie osobní identity. Práce porovná slabiny substančního dualismu se slabinami konkurenčních teorií, představí myšlenky významných historických zastánců substančního dualismu a vybrané současné teorie.
Abstract:
The aim of this thesis is to defend the relevance of substance dualism as a theory of personal identity. It will compare the weaknesses of substance dualism with the weaknesses of competitive theories, it will present ideas of important historical proponents of substance dualism and selected contemporary theories.
