The identity of the adult users of cochlear implants

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá identitou dospělých uživatelů kochleárních implantátů, teoretická část se zabývá uvedením do problematiky sluchového postižení, kochleárního implantátu (KI), uživatelem kochleárního implantátu a jeho zařazením do intaktní společnosti. V praktické části se zabývá identitou dospělých uživatelů KI, kde byl použit kvalitativní výzkum s dotazníky a rozhovory. Jsou vyhodnoceny názory na vlastní sebepojetí uživatelů KI. Hlavním cílem bylo zjistit zda jsou uživatelé KI součástí intaktní společnosti, nebo společnosti jedinců sluchově postižených. A zda se cítí být stigmatizováni.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the identity of adult users of cochlear implants, theoretical part deals with the introduction to the issue of hearing impairment, cochlear implant (CI) users of the cochlear implant and its inclusion in the company intact. The practical part deals with the identity of adult users KI, where it was used qualitative research with questionnaires and interviews. They evaluated the views of the users own self KI. The main objective was to determine whether the users are part of KI intact companies, individuals or companies the hearing impaired. And if they feel stigmatized.
