The old Czech names of meals
Abstract:
Hlavím tématem práce zvané Staročeské názvy jídel je porovnání a etymologická analýza vybraných názvů jídel: varmuže, baba žemlová, huspenina, jelito, jícha, šalše, knedlík, perník a měchura. Cílem bylo vysvětlit dané pojmy a představit je v rámci slovanského, případně indoevropského materiálu.
Abstract:
Anotace: The main theme of this final thesis called Old Bohemian names of meals is a historical-comparative analysis. Names are presented on the base of cookbooks from 14th-18th century. Materials have been taken from documents from 14th18th century, especially from cookbooks dated back to the 16th-18th century.
