Anthropogenic transformations of landforms in the surroundings of the Slapydam

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je na základě studia literatury a historických pramenů nalézt a zdokumentovat antropogenní tvary reliéfu vzniklé v souvislosti s výstavbou vodního díla Slapy a na základě terénního výzkumu zjistit jejich současný stav. Vodní dílo Slapy bylo postaveno na řece Vltavě přibližně 20 km (ortrodomicky) jižně od Prahy. Vodní dílo Slapy leží podle geomorfologického členění v západní části celku Benešovská pahorkatina. Geologické podloží oblasti je z hornin Středočeského plutonu. Díky tvrdosti hornin plutonu vytvořil tok Vltavy hluboké údolí se strmými svahy vhodné pro stavbu vodních nádrží. Podmínky vhodné pro vybudování přehrad jsou po celém toku Vltavy mezi Českými Budějovicemi a Prahou, proto již od konce 19. století vznikají plány na vybudování komplexního díla tzv. Vltavské kaskády. Vzhledem k technické a finanční náročnosti projektů nedošlo k jednotné výstavbě Vltavské kaskády, ale k jednotlivým etapám. Proto není kaskáda jednolité dílo a nesplňuje plně všechny funkce, pro které byla navrhována. Vodní dílo Slapy je jedním ze stupňů Vltavské kaskády. Vznikalo v období po 2. světové válce, kdy se kladl důraz především na energetický potenciál přehrad a vodohospodářské účinky. Bylo počítáno i s využitím umělého jezera pro rekreaci. Slapy patří mezi naše velké přehrady. Vybudovat vodní dílo větších rozměrů znamená učinit velký zásah do krajiny. Během stavby hráze a elektrárny vzniklo mnoho antropogenních tvarů reliéfu. Mnoho z nich bylo dočasných, jako např. zařízení na staveništi, výstavba betonárny a lanové dráhy pro dopravu materiálu. Ale pro potřeby stavby vznikly, nebo byly rozšířeny i těžební tvary reliéfu. Těžební tvary jsou trvalé tvary, ale dochází ke změně jejich využití (Např. štěrkopískovna ve Štěchovicích byla po dostavbě vodního díla Slapy zavezena zeminou a upravena na stavební parcely.) Protože napuštěním přehrady jsou často zaplavena sídla a komunikace, dochází ke stavbě nových domů a komunikací. Všechny práce probíhají koordinovaně v rámci jednoho investičního celku, aby mohlo dojít ke zprovoznění vodního díla co nejrychleji. Antropogenní tvary vzniklé během výstavby přehrady mění své využití a stav postupem času, protože dochází k jejich úpravám, rušením apod. Stavba vodního díla Slapy byla důležitým prvkem rozvoje oblasti, která byla před stavbou převážně zemědělského charakteru bez kvalitního dopravního spojení. Po napuštění přehrady došlo k prudkému rozvoji rekreace. Do současnosti vzniklo mnoho chatových osad, kempů, ubytoven a dalších budov pro rekreaci okolo vodní plochy, které změnily tvář krajiny

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor work is to describe anthropogenic forms of relief that were created by construction of the Slapy dam. The study of specialized literature and historical sources served as the basis of this bachelor work. The Slapy dam was built on the river Vltava at a rough estimate in the distance of 20 kilometres to the south of Prague (orthodromically). In compliance with geomorphologic segmentation is the Slapy dam situated in the western part of Benešovská upland. Geological subsoil of the area consists of Central Bohemian pluton rock. The fact that the rocks of pluton are hard contributed to the Vltava?s creation of deep valley with steep slopes that are appropriate for the building of storage reservoirs. On the waterway of Vltava between České Budějovice and Prague there are good conditions for construction of dams. These conditions were instrumental for the establishment of plans for construction of the complex storage reservoir of Vltava?s cascade in 19th century. Because of technical and financial demands the Vltava?s cascade was not built in one period but it was built in individual phases. The cascade is for this reason not a homogeneous construction and does not fulfil all the functions it was designed for. The Slapy dam is one of the grades of Vltava?s cascade. It was constructed in the period after the 2nd world war. In this period energetical potential of dams and impact of water supply and distribution were emphasized. The man-made lake was created for the use of recreation, too. The Slapy dam ranks among the large artificial lakes of Czech Republic. The construction of large storage reservoir goes hand in hand with extensive interventions into the landscape. During construction of the dam and the power station a lot of anthropogenic forms of relief were created. Some of the anthropogenic forms were only temporary e.g. machinery on the building site, construction of concrete mixing plant and cableway for the transport of material. During the construction of dam the extractive forms of relief were established or extended. Extractive forms are have a permanent character, but the use of it changes in the course of time (e.g. Gravel-sand pit situated in Štěchovice was after the completion of building of the Slapy dam converted into building plots.) As a result of filling the dam with water the settlements and communications are flooded and new communications are built. All work is coordinated by one investor in order to open the dam as soon as possible. Anthropogenic forms that were created during the construction of the Slapy dam change its use and state in the course of time. It can be adapted to the necessary usage and revitalized. The construction of the storage reservoir Slapy contributed significantly to the development of the area. Before construction the area was predominantly agricultural without the high-quality infrastructure. After filling the dam with water the steep development of recreations occurred in the area. Many vacation settlements, camps and lodging houses were founded around the water tract
