The Crosses of Conciliation in the Cheb region
Abstract:
Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou smírčích křížů v regionu Cheb. Město Cheb bylo osidlováno už od středověku a jeho městské právo spadalo pod vliv práva norimberského, které zavedlo tradici postavení smírčího kříže. Proto lze spatřit mnoho smírčích křížů v okolí regionu Cheb. Celkem se ve volné krajině nachází 60 křížů, což řadí region Cheb na první místo v počtu smírčích křížů v České republice …more
Abstract:
This thesis deals with the problematic Conciliation Crosses in the region of Cheb. Cheb was colonized from the middle ages and it's municipal law fell under in the influence of Nuremberg, where is come from am established tradition to build crosses of reconciliation. This is the reason why we see so many concilation crosses around the city. In total there are 60 crosses in the countryside in the Cheb …more
