Evaluation of the impact of ethics and etiquette for the hotel industry

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se skládá z teoretické části, praktické části a třetí návrhové části, z nichž první se zabývá v obecné rovině závažnými etickými otázkami a otázkami pravidel etikety, jejich vznikem a proměnami v čase. Pomocí deskriptivní metody se pokusím zmapovat vznik a historii etických pravidel a pravidel etikety a jejich důsledky v praktickém životě. Ve druhé části se zaměřím na konkrétní etická pravidla, a to především na manažerskou a profesionální etiku v oblasti hotelnictví a cestovního ruchu, a na dodržování pravidel etikety jako významné vizitky kvalit subjektu působícího v oblasti cestovního ruchu. V úvodu praktické části práce jsou uvedeny dvě případové studie, na nichž je ukázán význam dodržování etických pravidel a pravidel etikety v hotelnictví a vliv těchto výše zmíněných pravidel na ekonomické, sociální a sociokulturní aspekty hotelnictví. Praktická část bude zaměřena na dotazníkové šetření ve vybraných hotelových zařízeních. Šetření bude zaměřeno zejména na kvalitu služeb, přístup personálu a managementu daného zařízení jak k vlastní práci, tak k hostům a komparaci těchto shora zmíněných aspektů.

Abstract:

This thesis consists of theoretical part, practical part and third part of the design, the first of which deals in general, serious ethical issues and questions of etiquette rules, theiremergence and changes over time. Using descriptive methods try to map the origin andhistory of ethical rules and etiquette, and their consequences in everyday life. In the second part will focus on specific ethical rules, especially in managerial and professionalethics in the hospitality and tourism, and compliance with the rules of etiquette as significant proof of the quality operator in the field of tourism. In the introduction to the practical part of this work are presented two case studies on which it is shown the importance of ethical rules and etiquette in the hotel industry and the impact of the aboverules to the economic, social and socio-cultural aspects of the hotel industry. The practical part will focus on a survey in selected hotel facilities. The investigation will focusmainly on service quality, access and management staff of both facilities to their ownwork and to the clients and comparison of these above mentioned aspects
