Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce {\clqq}Rozšíření Evropské unie o Rumunsko a jeho význam pro budoucí investiční příležitosti pro Českou republiku`` je zhodnotit zatím poslední rozšíření Evropské unie směrem do střední a východní Evropy o Rumunsko. Práce se zabývá Evropskou unií jako komplexní institucí, popisuje její základní cíle a poslání a právní dokumenty, kterými se řídí. Dále práce nastiňuje proces rozšiřování Evropské unie a podrobněji se zaměřuje na postup při rozšíření o Rumunsko, přístupová kritéria a podmínky. Nakonec práce hodnotí začlenění Rumunska do Evropské unie z pohledu České republiky jako potenciálního investora.

Abstract:

The aim of the master thesis ``Enlargement of the European Union: Romania{\crq}s Accession and its Implications for Future Investment Opportunities in the Czech Republic{\crqq} is to analyse the last enlargement of the European Union towards middle and eastern Europe {--} namely Romania`s accession. The thesis also deals with the European Union as a complex institution - it describes fundamental targets and function and legal documents of the European Union. Then a process of the European Union enlargement in general and a process of Romania{\crq}s accession, access and convergence criteria. In the last part of the thesis Romania{\crq}s accession is viewed from the perspective of the Czech Republic as a potential investor.
