Comparison of NATO and EU missions against Somali piracy – evaluation of their defensive effect
Abstract:
Tato práce pojednává o somálském námořním pirátství a aktivitách NATO a EU v boji s tímto fenoménem. Práce se konkrétně zaměřuje na zhodnocení obranného efektu operací Ocean Shield a Atalanta. Kritérii pro hodnocení se staly počty přerušených útoků, počet sil, které měly obě mise k dispozici a jejich právní rámec. Cílem práce je poté na základě těchto kritérií operace porovnat.
Abstract:
This work deals with Somali maritime piracy and activities of NATO and EU in their fight against this phenomenon. Specifically it focuses on evaluation of defensive effect of the operations Ocean Shield and Atalanta.
