Carnival in Sibřina

Abstract:

Tématem této bakalářské práce je masopust v obci Sibřina, který je specifický tím, že byl v obci zcela uměle vytvořen. Úvod práce je věnován stručnému popisu dosavadního badatelského zájmu o masopustní tradici a zároveň jsou zde představeny metody, které byly použity v rámci terénního výzkumu. V hlavní části práce jsou definovány jednotlivé charakteristické prvky sibřinského masopustu a jsou vloženy do kontextu s tradičními podobami masopustů známými z odborné literatury. Dále jsou pak popsány okolnosti, které vedly ke vzniku hojně navštěvované každoroční společenské události inspirované tradiční formou oslav masopustu.

Abstract:

The subject of this thesis is the „masopust“ carnival in the village of Sibřina, which is specific by the artificial creation of the custom in this village. In the introduction of this thesis there is a brief characterisation devoted to research about increased interest in carnival tradition and introduction of methods used in the field research. In the main part of the thesis there is a definition of individual characteristic elements of the „masopust“ carnival in this village in comparison with the traditional form of this carnival known from the literature. In addition there is a description of the circumstances that led to the beginning of this popular annual event inspired by the traditional form of the „masopust“ carnival.
