Views of students on active fatherhood

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá aktivním otcovstvím z pohledu současných vysokoškolských studentů na toto téma. Pozornost je věnována především míře otevřenosti studentů k možnosti aktivního zapojení otců do života jejich potomků. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a empirickou. V teoretické části jsou uvedeny charakteristické znaky, kterými se vyznačuje aktivní otec a pozitiva, která při aktivním zapojení otců vyvstávají pro jejich děti. Zároveň jsou zde uvedeny překážky v uskutečňování aktivního otcovství a jeho podpora ze strany státu a neziskových organizací. Empirická část zahrnuje výzkum formou dotazníkového šetření s cílem zjistit, v jakých oblastech a do jaké míry jsou studenti otevřeni tomuto modelu. Zároveň se snaží zjistit názor studentů na aktivitu jejich otce v jejich dětství a jejich očekávání ohledně tohoto modelu ve vztahu k vlastní budoucnosti.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with active fatherhood and the views of current university students on this topic. Attention is focused mainly on how open the students are to fathers being actively involved in their child's life. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part focuses on characteristics of active fathers and the positive effects that the active engagement of fathers has on their children. At the same time, theoretical part presents the obstacles that come in a way of active fatherhood and how the state and non profit organizations support it. The empirical part includes research through a questionnaire survey to find out in which areas and to what extent students are open to this model of parenting. At the same time, research is questioning students' view of their father's activity in their childhood and their expectations regarding this model in relation to their own future.
