Evaluation of the effectiveness of the two endolysines in therapy of staphylococcal infections
Abstract:
V této diplomové práci se věnuji studiu stafylokokových bakterií, jejich patogenitě a možnostem léčby. Důraz je kladen na enzymy vykazující antimikrobiální aktivitu vůči bakteriálním kmenům Staphylococcus aureus. V praktické části se zabývám přípravou dvou enzymů schopných štěpit stafylokokový peptidoglykan. Jedná se o fágový endolysin 812 a bakteriocin Staphylococcus simulans lysostaphin.
Abstract:
In this thesis I deal with the study of staphylococcal bacteria, their pathogenicity and treatment options. Emphasis is placed on enzymes inducing antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus bacterial strains.
