První část pojednává o zániku závazků splněním. Druhá část pojednává o zániku závazků jinými způsoby - dohodou smluvních stran, odstoupením od smlouvy, zmařením účelu smlouvy, zaplacením odstupného, dodatečnou nemožností plnění, neuplatněním práva, výpovědí, započtením vzájemných pohledávek, narovnáním, splynutím dlužníka a věřitele a zánik závazků smrtí dlužníka nebo věřitele.
