Publications of Brno Bibliophiles in Moravian Library: Processing of a Part of the Collection

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá publikacemi čtyř moravských bibliofilských nakladatelů, a to Jožou Jíchou, Stanislavem Kočím, Arno Sáňkou a Janem Tišnovským. Většina tisků pochází z let 1918-1939 a jsou součástí fondu Moravské zemské knihovny v Brně, popřípadě se nachází ve fondech jiných českých knihoven. Úvodní část práce představuje medailonky samotných nakladatelů a výpis zpracovaných tisků. Druhá část začíná katalogizačními záznamy, které byly vytvořeny dle metodologie Moravské zemské knihovny a se spoluprací Mgr. Romany Macháčkové. Následuje komentovaný soupis, ve kterém jsou obsaženy informace z katalogizačních záznamů a z nalezených recenzí v periodicích. V závěru je zhodnocen přínos nakladatelů pro českou knižní kulturu.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the publications of four Moravian bibliophile publish-ers, namely Joža Jícha, Stanislav Kočí, Arno Sáňka and Jan Tišnovský. Most of the prints come from the years 1918-1939 and are part of the collection of the Moravi-an Library in Brno, or are in the collections of other Czech libraries. The introducto-ry part of the work presents the profiles of the publishers and a list of processed publications. The second part begins with cataloging records, which were created according to the methodology of the Moravian Library and in cooperation with Mgr. Romana Macháčková. The following part is an annotated list containing information from cataloging records and reviews found in periodicals. At the end of the thesis is evaluated the contribution of publishers to the Czech book culture.
