Liquidity and Solvency Analysis of a Selected Company

Abstract:

The thesis is designated to the problematic of Liquidiy and Solvency Analysis of a Company ZVL AUTO Inc. The goal of this master´s thesis, the topic of which is the evaluation of the financial stability of an entrepreneurial entity, is to evaluate the financial situation of the company with the help of economic indicators. In the first theoretic part of the thesis, important concepts from the field of financial analysis are gradually defined, and selected analytic tools and methods are presented. The thesis is divided in three chapters. It includes, 26 tables, 26 graphs, 32 formulas, 2 pictures and 3 attachments. In the second practical part of the thesis, these tools and methods are applied to the company ZVL AUTO Inc. Analysed data are from the period from 2009 to 2013. In the conclusion we have formulated proposals and recommendations to improve the present state on the basis of the result of the analysis. The main methods , which were used in this thesis: observation, comparation, analysis, synthesis, basic mathematical counts.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca je venovaná problematike finančnej analýzy likvidity a zadlženosti vykonanej v podniku ZVL AUTO, s.r.o. Cieľom tejto diplomovej práce je zhodnotiť pomocou ekonomických ukazovateľov finančnú situáciu podniku. Práca je rozdelená do troch kapitol. Obsahuje 26 tabuliek, 26 grafov, 32 vzorcov, 2 obrázky a 3 prílohy. V prvej teoretickej časti práce sú postupne vymedzené dôležité pojmy z oblasti finančnej analýzy a sú predstavené vybrané analytické nástroje a metódy. V diplomovej práci sú použité teoretické poznatky dostupné z odbornej literatúry. V druhej praktickej časti práce sme tieto nástroje a metódy aplikovali na podnik ZVL AUTO, s.r.o.. Skúmanými obdobiami sú roky 2009 až 2013. V závere sme na základe výsledkov analýzy sformulovali návrhy a odporúčania k zlepšeniu súčasného stavu. Pri vypracovaní diplomovej práce boli použité základné metódy: pozorovanie, porovnávanie, analýza, syntéza a jednoduché matematické výpočty.
