Analysis of authentication methods of digital banking

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou bezpečnosti a použitelnosti autentizačních metod digitálního bankovnictví. Cílem práce je vytvořit model hodnocení autentizačních metod zohledňující legislativní a technologické bezpečnostní požadavky a na jeho základě provést analýzu autentizačních metod digitálního bankovnictví vybraných českých bank. První část práce poskytuje teoretickou základnu digitálního bankovnictví, bezpečnosti a autentizace. Kromě toho uvádí vlivy působící na autentizaci legislativního, technologického a bezpečnostního charakteru. Druhá část se věnuje návrhu modelu hodnocení autentizačních metod. V rámci této části jsou definovány předpoklady modelu a kritéria hodnocení, stanoveny váhy pro multikriteriální analýzu a popsán nástroj programu Excel, do nějž je implementován model hodnocení. Třetí část je pak zaměřena na provedené analýzy autentizačních metod vybraných českých bank a vyhodnocení modelu. Obsahem této části je popis vybraných bank a jejich autentizačních metod, následné použití modelu hodnocení pro vybrané metody, závěrečné vyhodnocení výsledků analýzy a přijatelnosti modelu pro další užití.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of security and usability of authentication methods of digital banking. The aim of the thesis is to create a model of evaluation of authentication methods taking into account the legislative and technological security requirements, based on which an analysis of digital banking authentication methods selected by Czech banks is performed. The first part provides the theoretical basis of digital banking, security and authentication. It also presents the influences on the authentication of the legislative, technological and security character. The second part deals with the design of the authentication methods evaluation model. There are assumptions of the model and evaluation criteria defined, the weights for multicriterial analysis stated and the Excel tool described, using which the evaluation model is implemented. The third part is focused on the analysis of authentication methods of selected Czech banks and model evaluation. This section contains a description of selected banks and their authentication methods, the use of the evaluation model for selected methods, the final evaluation of the results of the analysis and the acceptability of the model for further use.
