Patients' Knowledge Before Coronary Angiography

Abstract:

Diplomová práce zjišťuje rozdíl v informovanosti před a po zhlédnutí edukačního videa u pacientů před plánovanou koronarografií. Výzkumné šetření bylo provedeno na III. Interní – kardiologické klinice ve Fakultní nemocnici Královské Vinohrady. Teoretická část za zabývá anatomií a fyziologií srdce, aterosklerózou a ischemickou chorobou srdeční. Popisuje koronarografii a její komplikace, perkutánní koronární intervencí a dalšími zobrazovacími a funkčními vyšetřovacími metodami, které doplňují koronarografické vyšetření. Další část je zaměřena na péči o pacienta – přípravu pacienta před koronarografií, průběh vyšetření a péči o pacienta po vyšetření. V další kapitole je seznam komplexních kardiovaskulárních center a je popsaná edukace pacientů. Empirická část zjišťuje z výsledků dotazníkového šetření rozdíl v informovanosti před a po zhlédnutí edukačního videa u pacientů před koronarografií a zjišťuje faktory, které tento rozdíl ovlivňují.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis studies patients’ awareness before and after projection of educational video played before planned coronary angiography. The research was done on third internal – cardiological department in Faculty hospital Královské Vinohrady. In theoretical part anatomy and physiology of a heart, atherosclerosis and coronary heart disease are described. Furthermore, the thesis focuses on coronary angiography and its complications and on other types of imaging and functional methods used in addition to coronary angiography. Next part of the thesis gives information about the care provided to patients before, during and after the coronary angiography. In next chapter lists complex coronary angiography centres are mentioned as well as education of patients. Interview survey was used to detect the difference of coronary angiography patients’ awareness before and after seeing educational video. The thesis also takes in consideration factors which influences these identified differences.
