Používání léčiv pro humánní nebo veterinární účely je v dnešní době neodmyslitelně spjato s únikem léčiv do odpadních vod a kontaminací životního prostředí. The use of pharmaceuticals for human or veterinary purposes is nowadays inherently connected with their release into wastewater and the environmental contamination. As a result, non-target organisms, including plants, are adversely affected.
