Evaluation of the success of restoration of the calamity clearing at LS VLS Lipník nad Bečvou, Bruntál area

Abstract:

Závěrečná práce se zabývá vyhodnocením úspěšnosti kalamitní holiny na LS VLS Lipník nad Bečvou, na lesním úseku Roveň. Holina zájmové plochy vznikla po větrné kalamitě v roce 2018. Během čtyř let zde došlo k obnově porostů, při které byla využita umělá obnova i přirozené zmlazení. Hlavní část se zabývá porovnáním odrůstání dřevin na zájmové ploše s plochami na jiných souborech lesních typů a celkovým vyhodnocením úspěšnosti obnovy kalamitní holiny. Původní porost měl téměř 100 % zastoupení smrku ztepilého (Picea abies L. Karst.). V rámci práce je proto zahrnuta i analýza chřadnutí smrkových porostů. Jako další je v závěrečné práci zahrnuto doporučení pro praxi vycházející z literárních zdrojů.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on evaluating the success of the calamity clearcut at the LS VLS Lipník nad Bečvou, in the forest section of Roveň. The clearcut area of interest was created after the windstorm disaster in 2018. Over the course of four years, the forest stands were regenerated using both artificial regeneration and natural rejuvenation. The main part of the work deals with comparing the regeneration of tree species on the area of interest with plots in other forest types and a general evaluation of the success of the calamity clearcut restoration. The original stand consisted of nearly 100% Norway spruce (Picea abies L. Karst.). Therefore, the thesis also includes an analysis of the decline of spruce forests. Additionally, the thesis provides practical recommendations based on literary sources.
