Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se věnuje užití hudby jako metody výuky a studia anglického jazyka a je zaměřena především na gramatické chyby v písničkách a jejich vliv na dospívající studenty angličtiny. Práce je rozdělena na dvě hlavní části, teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část popisuje různé aspekty práce s hudbou v hodinách anglického jazyka se záměrem zlepšit poslechové dovednosti, výslovnost, slovní zásobu a gramatiku. Dále se zabývá problematikou špatné gramatiky v mnohých populárních anglických písničkách a představuje nejčastější gramatické chyby. Praktická část je založená na výzkumu, který jsem provedla se studenty pátého a sedmého ročníku osmiletého programu gymnázia. Hlavním účelem bylo zjistit, zda se soustředí na gramatiku v písničkách, zda je pro ně obtížné všimnout si chyb a opravit je a jaký je jejich názor na používání hudby k výuce a studiu angličtiny. Cílem práce je poukázat na přítomnost gramatických chyb v anglických písničkách a odhalit přístup dospívajících studentů angličtiny k nim.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is dedicated to the use of music as a method of teaching and learning English and it is focused especially on grammatical mistakes in songs and the effect they have on teenage English learners. The thesis is divided into two main parts, a theoretical one and a practical one. The theoretical part describes various aspects of working with music in English lessons in order to improve listening skills, pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar. It also deals with the problem of poor grammar in many popular English songs and introduces the most common grammatical mistakes. The practical part is based on a research that I did with students of the fifth and seventh year of the eight-year program at a grammar school. The main purpose was to find out whether they pay attention to grammar in songs, whether it is difficult for them to spot mistakes and correct them and what their opinion on using music to teach and learn English is. The aim of the thesis is to point out the presence of grammatical mistakes in English songs and to reveal teenagers' attitude to them.
