X-ray spectroscopy of the cosmic web
Abstract:
V této bakalářské práci se věnujeme simulování pozorování horkého mezigalaktického plynu v okolí masivní kupy galaxií. Tato pozorování provádíme s rentgenovými satelity současnosti i budoucnosti, tedy s Chandra ACIS-S, XRISM Resolve, NewAthena X-IFU, HUBS a LEM IFU. Abstract:
In this thesis, we simulate mock observations of hot gas around a massive galaxy cluster with the X-ray instruments of today and the future, such as Chandra ACIS-S, XRISM Resolve, NewAthena X-IFU, HUBS and LEM IFU. We demonstrate, that the new satellites will indeed have capabilities exceeding the ones of the current missions. With the HUBS and LEM satellites, we report a direct detection of a WHIM …more
