The particularities of administrative texts in communication with companies and citizens

Abstract:

Diese Arbeit befasst sich mit den Spezifika administrativer Texte. Die Grundlage der Untersuchung ist die Erstellung eines Korpus, welches sich auf die Korrespondenz deutscher und österreichischer Institutionen mit Firmen und Bürger:innen bezieht. Das Korpus umfasst 20 Texte der administrativen Fachkommunikation. Die Arbeit besteht aus einem theoretischen Teil und der Korpusanalyse der einzelnen Texte aus dem Bereich der behördlichen Fachkommunikation. Die linguistische Analyse wird auf lexikalischer, syntaktischer, morphologischer Ebene durchgeführt. Des Weiteren folgt die Formulierung der draus resultierenden Schlussfolgerungen. Das Ziel der Arbeit ist es, die Besonderheiten administrativer Texte in der schriftlichen Kommunikation aufzuzeigen, Texte von Institutionen mit denen von Unternehmen und Bürger:innen zu vergleichen, die häufigsten Probleme auf translatologischer Ebene für tschechisch-deutschsprachige Rezipienten zusammenzufassen und ein Glossar mit geeigneten Übersetzungsentwürfen zu erstellen.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the specifics of administrative texts. The basis of the analysis is the construction of a corpus consisting of written communication between German and Austrian institutions and a company and a citizen. The corpus contains 20 texts of professional communication. The thesis consists of a theoretical part and an analysis of the corpus of individual texts of professional communication from the point of view of style in the lexical, morphological, syntactic level and the formulation of partial conclusions. The aim of this thesis is to point out the special characteristics of professional communication in the field of written administration, to compare texts of institution versus company and citizen, to summarise the most frequent problems in the translatological plane for Czech-German speaking recipients and to compile a glossary with suggestions for suitable translations
