Abstract:

Předmětem předkládané práce je dílo a osobnost jednoho z nejhranějších řeckých skladatelů Manose Chatzidakise. Zabývá se jeho životem, umělecké, politické a sociální aktivitě, která měla vliv na jeho tvorbu a která není v české muzikologické literatuře známá. Je to náčrt života a díla skladatele v poválečné době Řecka a jeho vztah k řeckým skladatelům hudební avantgardy té doby, kteří žili a tvořili v zahraničí, jakými byli I. Xenakis A. Logothetis. V druhé části práce je analytický rozbor jeho dila Giconda’s smile, jejímž cílem je poukázat na jemné zacházení s orchestrací a vkusné kombinování nástrojů, které jsou pro Chatzidakise charakteristické, jako například čembalo, mandoliny, kytara, harfa a jiné, spolu s řeckým lidovým nástrojem buzuki. Nástin skladatelova historického pozadí může sloužit k pochopení jeho tvorby a mentality použití hudebních nástrojů a barev v tomto jeho díle. Důraz je kladen také na skladatelův politický a sociální aspekt v jeho díle, který ho charakterizuje.

Abstract:

The present thesis looks into the personality and the compositional output of one of the most celebrated Greek composers, Manos Chatzidakis. It deals with aspects of his life as an artist and as a political activist, aspects that highly influenced his work and that are not so well known or researched in the Czech musicological literature. My work draws a sketch of his life and his work in the post-war era in Greece and his relationship to other Greek composers of the musical avant-garde of the time who lived and worked abroad, such as I. Xenakis and A. Logothetis. The second part of the thesis offers an analysis of one of his symphonic pieces, ‘Gioconda's smile’. My main aim is to point out the gentle handling of orchestration and the unusual combination of instruments – always though with great care and taste, that are characteristic of Chatzidakis’ style, such as harpsichord, mandolin, guitar, harp and others, all of them in harmony with the Greek folk instrument ‘buzuki. The historical background of the era together with the composer’s political stand are key elements in understanding, analysing and appreciating his compositions and his relations with his colleagues.
