Markedness and frequency
Abstract:
Cílem této bakalářské práce je ověřit tvrzení Martina Haspelmatha, že koncept lingvistické příznakovosti by měl být opuštěn a nahrazen přesnějšími a transparentnějšími pojmy. Tuto teorii testujeme hledáním korelace mezi příznakovostí jednotlivých pádů a jejich frekvencí v korpusech SYN2010 a SYN2015.
Abstract:
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to verify Martin Haspelmath’s claim that the linguistic concept of markedness should be abandoned and replaced by more accurate and transparent terms. We test this theory by searching for correlation between markedness of individual grammatical cases and their frequency in the SYN2010 and SYN2015 corpuses.
