Brno Operetta after 1989

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce, Brněnská opereta po roce 1989 se pokouší objasnit činnost zpěvoherního souboru Národního divadla Brno v letech 1989 – 2003 a jeho následné převedení do Městského divadla Brno. Zachycuje tedy historii souboru, tvůrčí období 1989 - 2003, poté převedení do Městského divadla a následné uvádění operet v Brně po roce 2003. Využívá těchto základních pojmů: opereta, muzikál, zpěvoherní soubor, Národní divadlo Brno a Městské divadlo Brno. Hlavním úkolem práce je popis činnosti souboru v klíčovém období, uvedených inscenací, osobností a významných událostí. Dále se také zaměřuje na přesun souboru do Městského divadla, přičemž zpracovává příčiny i důsledky této události. V práci se mimo jiné nastiňuje uvádění operet po přesunu souboru do Městského divadla Brno, jak v divadle Městském tak i Národním, s odkazem na současnost v podobě Nového operetního studia Brno.

Abstract:

BC thesis, the title of which is Brno Operetta after 1989, tries to summarize the activities of Operetta Ensemble of the National Theatre in Brno between 1989 and 2003, and the following period when it became a part of Městské divadlo Brno (Municipal Theatre of Brno). It describes the creative history of the Ensemble in 1989-2003, then the focus is on the Municipal Theatre period and the following operetta staging in Brno after 2003. Key words: operetta, musical, National theatre in Brno, Municipal Theatre of Brno. The main aim of my work is to describe the Operetta Ensemble activities in the key period, also its performances and personalities envolved, and its great achievements. Further on, my thesis focuses on the relocation of the Operetta Ensemble into the Municipal Theatre and tries to analyse its reasons and consequences. Also, my thesis gives a summary of the operettas performed after the Operetta Ensemble relocation, both in Municipal and National Theatres, with the reference to its current face, recently founded New Operetta Studio of Brno.
