Hlavním cílem práce je představení a prosazení umírněného pohledu na původ republikánského myšlení. Main concern of this paper is to establish some moderate view on roots of republican thinking. First, we characterize specific points of Aristotle’s and Cicero’s republican political theory. Then, through comparison of their theoretical stands, we obtain similarities as well as differences between them.
