Comunication in Kindergarten in the Context of Gender Aspects

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem výskytu genderových stereotypů v pedagogické komunikaci v předškolním vzdělávání. Analyzuje jejich frekvenci a podobu ve vybrané mateřské škole. Seznamuje s problematikou genderu obecně, věnuje se jak socializaci, tak feminitě, maskulinitě, genderovým rolím a jiným oblastem. Důležitá část nahlíží na projevy genderu v komunikaci a jak se odlišuje mužská a ženská komunikace. Následuje výzkumné šetření založené na kvalitativním výzkumu realizovaným zúčastněným strukturovaným pozorováním. Empirická část nabízí pohled nezávislého pozorovatele na podobu genderových stereotypů v komunikaci mezi učitelkou a dětmi. Během výzkumného šetření jsem zjistila, že se v pedagogické komunikaci v mateřské škole objevují genderové stereotypy zejména v oblastech oslovení, chválení, napomenutí a v nabídce herních činností.

Abstract:

The Bachelor´s thesis deals with occurrence of gender stereotypes in pedagogic communication in preschool education. It analyses its frequency and form in a chosen nursery school. It familiarizes with a gender issue generally, dealing both with socialization and femininity, masculinity, gender roles, and other fields. Its significant section presents gender manifestation in communication, and how a male and female communications differ. This is followed by research investigation based on a qualitative research conducted by involved structured observation. The empiric section offers a view by an independent observer in communication between a teacher and children. I found in my research investigation that gender stereotypes occur in pedagogic communication in a nursery school especially in the fields of addressing, praising, rebuking, and in the offer of play activities.
