Cyber security and the meaning for the society

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou kybernetické bezpečnosti v České republice a její významnosti pro společnost. Teoretická část práce popisuje obecné vymezení kybernetické bezpečnosti a zadokumentované kybernetické útoky v České republice. Dále práce vymezuje hlavní aktéry, kteří se v kybernetické doméně angažují a zhodnocuje hlavní aspekty kybernetické války vedené Ruskem proti Ukrajině, s dopady na společnost v České republice. Prostřednictvím dotazníkové šetření bude zjištěno, jak česká společnost vnímá kybernetickou bezpečnost, s jakými kybernetickými útoky se respondenti setkali a jaké aspekty se jich osobně dotkly v souvislosti se současným válečným konfliktem vedeným Ruskem vůči Ukrajině. V závěrečné části jsou vyhodnoceny výsledky z realizované výzkumné části a na základě dostupných analýz kybernetické bezpečnosti a dokumentovaných narůstajících kybernetických útoků, bude možné navrhnout doporučení pro zvýšení efektivnosti přijímaných opatření v předmětné kybernetické doméně.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the analysis of cyber security in the Czech Republic and its importance for the society. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the general definition of cyber security and documented cyber attacks in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the thesis defines the main actors involved in the cyber domain and assesses the main aspects of the cyber war waged by Russia against Ukraine, with implications for society in the Czech Republic. Through a questionnaire survey, it will be established how Czech society perceives cyber security, what cyber attacks the respondents have encountered and what aspects have personally affected them in relation to the current military conflict waged by Russia against Ukraine. In the final part, the results from the conducted research part are evaluated and based on the available analyses of cyber security and documented increasing cyber attacks, it will be possible to propose recommendations to increase the effectiveness of the measures taken in the cyber domain in question.
