The aim of this work is the analysis of the elements of machismo in the novels Betrayed by Rita Hayworth, Heartbreak Tango and Kiss of the Spider Woman by Manuel Puig. Cílem této práce je analýza prvků machismu v románech Zrada Rity Hayworthové, Nejhezčí tango a Polibek pavoučí ženy argentinského spisovatele Manuela Puige. Nejprve je definován pojem machismus se zaměřením na to, jak je tento jev vnímán v Latinské Americe.
