Shadow banking

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou stínového bankovnictví. První část práce vymezuje, co to stínové bankovnictví je a s čím se v jeho souvislosti můžeme setkat. Jsou zde analyzovány třídy aktiv či nástroje používané jednotlivými entitami. V druhé části jsou popsané jednotlivé entity a aktivity stínového bankovnictví. V práci je analyzováno a diskutováno propojení mezi tradičním a stínovým sektorem či možné přínosy i rizika plynoucí ze stínového bankovnictví. Dílčí, závěrečnou částí práce je i shrnutí současného stavu regulace této oblasti.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the problems of shadow banking. The first theoretical section includes detail information about what shadow banking is and what we can deal with concerning this area. There is description of kinds of assets and instruments used by individual entities. The second, key area of my thesis is description of individual entities and shadow banking activities. We can also find here discussion about connection between traditional and shadow banking system and possible benefits or risks. The subpart is summary of the current situation of regulation.
