Development of Investment Life Insurance and Supplemental Insurance Products

Abstract:

V rámci tématu, které jsem zvolila pro vypracování bakalářské práce „Vývoj investičního životního pojištění a jeho doplňkových pojištění“ jsem se snažila nastínit jeho vývoj. Významným počinem v celkovém rozvoji pojišťovnictví v porevoluční době byla demonopolizace jedné pojišťovny a vznik konkurenčních pojišťovacích subjektů, které začaly vytvářet takové typy pojištění, které se lépe přizpůsobí potřebám klientů. Jejich vývoj měl velký význam pro zakotvení zcela moderního produktu, který spojuje krytí pojistných rizik s investicemi do fondů. Český pojistný trh byl ovlivněn zájmem drobných investorů a vývojem bankopojistných produktů v anglosaských zemích. Na příkladech investičního životního pojištění České pojišťovny, Kooperativy a Allianz pojišťovny dokládám jaké složky a podmínky toto pojištění obsahuje, a také odlišnosti od klasických životních pojistek, které jsou základními stavebními kameny většiny pojišťoven. Od přelomu 20. a 21. století, kdy se začaly zakládat první fondy až do poloviny roku 2008, způsobilo investiční životní pojištění strmý nárůst pojistného nejen u pojišťoven, které se drží na prvních příčkách podílu na pojistném trhu. Vlivem světové krize, poklesu hospodářského růstu a rovněž náchylnosti ke kolísavosti – volatilitě v kurzech akcií, zaznamenala většina fondů od začátku roku 2008 negativní výkyvy. Proto se většina pojišťoven snaží v současné době vracet k tradičním produktům životního pojištění a modernizovat je tak, aby zaručily svým klientům garantovaný výnos kapitálového pojištění a současně přidaly výhody pojištění investičního například mimořádné vklady a výběry. Předpokládaný vývoj lze jen stěží určit. I v této současné turbulentní době přetrvává zájem klientů o investiční životní pojištění s investicemi do garantovaných fondů, a z hlediska dlouhodobého vývoje se jistě toto flexibilní pojištění udrží na trhu.

Abstract:

The theme I have chosen for elaboration of my graduation thesis is “Development of Investment Life Insurance and Supplemental Insurance Products“. Within my graduation thesis I tried to outline developing of this question. A significant remove in the whole insurance development was demonopolization of one insurance company in after-revolutionary era and the fact that new competitive insurance subjects appeared in the market. These began to create new types of insurance which are able to bring into line with clients’ needs better than existing. The development of these subjects had a big importance for mooring of totally modern product that joins insurance risk coverage and investments to funds. The Czech insurance market was influenced by small investors’concern and by development of bank-insurance products in Anglo – Saxon countries. I tried to point out basic components, terms and differences that investment life insurance involves compared to basic life insurance that represents basic building stone in the most of insurance companies. I made use of examples, namely Česká pojišťovna, Kooperativa and Allianz. From the turn of the 21st century when the first funds were founded until the middle of the year 2008 the investment life insurance caused sweeping increase of insurance premium. It is not only related to top insurance companies. The most of funds noticed negative fluctuations from the beginning of the year 2008. We can search for reasons in the events like world depression, decline of economic growth and also susceptibility to volatility of share prices. This is the reason why recently the most of insurance companies have been trying to return to the traditional life insurance products and to modernize them in order to guarantee revenue from capital insurance for their constituency and simultaneously to add the advantages of investment insurance, for example extra deposits and withdrawals. A probable development can be hardly estimated. The interest of clients in the investment life insurance with investments in guaranty funds hangs on also in this present turbulent time and in term of long-time development this flexible insurance is certainly going to maintain in the market.
