Study of biological response of tobacco plants to RSL lectin
Abstract:
Lectins are proteins of non-immune origin capable of binding carbohydrates. By origin they are divided into plant, animal, fungal and bacterial lectins. Protein RSL produced by the pathogenic bacterium Ralstonia solanacearum also belongs to lectins. This small trimeric protein shows a particular specificity for L-fucose. Abstract:
Lektíny sú proteíny neimunitného pôvodu schopné viazať sacharidy. Podľa pôvodu sa rozdeľujú na rastlinné, živočíšne, hubové a bakteriálne. K lektínom patrí aj RSL proteín produkovaný patogénnou baktériou Ralstonia solanacearum. Tento malý trimérny proteín vykazuje špecifickosť predovšetkým k L-fukóze.
