The influence of coeliac disease on the quality of human life

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Vliv celiakie na kvalitu života člověka“ se zabývá problematikou dědičného onemocnění celiakie, které se projevuje nesnášenlivostí lepku obsaženého v obilninách. Práce popisuje charakteristiku onemocnění, její diagnostiku, příznaky a především jediný možný způsob léčby, kterým je plně dodržovaná bezlepková dieta. Dále se věnuje kvalitě života jedinců s celiakií, jejich vzdělávání a ukotvení v legislativě. Praktická část práce se zaměřuje na dva jedince s tímto onemocněním. Na jejich životy ovlivněné celiakií a jejich následné porovnání.

Abstract:

The thesis “The influence of coeliac disease on the quality of human life” deals with the issues of hereditary coeliac disease. The expression of the disease is the intolerance to gluten contained in the cereals. The thesis describes characteristic of disease, its diagnosis, its symptoms and especially the only possible treatment, which is the fully adhered gluten-free diet... Then it provides information about the quality of life of individuals with coeliac disease, their education and the legislation issues. The practical part of the thesis aims at two persons with this disease. It examines their lives influenced by coeliac disease. Then it provides the comparison.
