Diagnosis of acquired verbal dyspraxia using the Czech adaptation of the ABA-2 and the creation of therapeutic materials for speech therapy intervention in adults with acquired verbal dyspraxia

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá diagnostikou osob, často osob po cévní mozkové příhodě, s podezřením na získanou verbální dyspraxii a následný proces terapie již zmíněné narušené komunikační schopnosti. Cílem bylo vytvořit českou adaptaci diagnostické baterie ABA-2 a vyrobit adekvátní terapeutický materiál. Plnění hlavních a dílčích cílů praktické části probíhalo na základě spolupráce s respondenty cíleného výběrového souboru. Výsledky ukazují, že česká adaptace testu je vhodným prostředkem pro zjištění přítomnosti získané verbální dyspraxie a je využitelná v odborné praxi. Dále je představen terapeutický materiál pro dospělé osoby se získanou verbální dyspraxií, který nebyl z časových důvodů plně ověřen v terapeutickém procesu.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis is about the diagnosis of a person, often a person after a stroke, with suspicion of acquired verbal apraxia and the subsequent process of therapy for the already mentioned impaired communication skills. The goal was to create a Czech adaptation of the ABA-2 diagnostic battery and produce adequate therapeutic material. Fulfillment of the main and partial objectives of the practical part took place on the basis of cooperation with respondents of a targeted sample. The results show that the Czech adaptation of the test is a suitable tool for detecting the presence of acquired verbal apraxia and can be used in professional practice. Furthermore, therapeutic material for adults with acquired verbal apraxia is presented, which was not fully verified in the therapeutic process due to time constraints.
