Pacienti se srdeční zástavou mimo nemocnici (OHCA) můžou být transportováni za probíhající kontinuální resuscitace do nemocnice k napojení na mimotělní oběh, tzv. eCPR. Je to metoda, která poskytuje čas k nalezení a odstranění reverzibilní příčiny srdeční zástavy. Avšak jen několik procent ze všech pacientů s OHCA může z eCPR profitovat. Abstract:
Patients with out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) can be transported under continual resuscitation to the hospital for extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation, eCPR. This method provides time to eliminate the reversible cause of cardiac arrest. However, only a few percent of all OHCA will benefit from eCPR.
