Gambling and pathological gambling from the perspective of high school students

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá vztahem studentů středních škol k hazardním hrám a patologickému hráčství. V teoretické části budou popsány pojmy - hazardní hra, hazardní hráč, motivace k hraní hazardních her, patologické projevy, právní rámec, možnosti prevence a léčby u závislých mladistvých. V praktické části bude proveden kvantitativní výzkum s cílem zjistit, jakou zkušenost mají studenti středních škol s hazardním hraním, jestli se v průběhu života setkali s nějakou formou prevence, případně jakou formou. Ke sběru dat bude sloužit anonymní dotazník, který bude rozdán mezi studenty vybraných středních škol v Královéhradeckém kraji.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis follows up the relationship of high school students to gambling games and pathological gambling. Concepts of gambling games, gamblers, motivation to gamble, pathological manifestations, legal framework, prevention and treatment options for addicted teenagers will be described in the theoretical part. In the practical part, quantitative research will be carried out with the aim of finding out about experience high school students have with gambling, whether they have encountered any form of prevention during their lives, or what form. An anonymous questionnaire will be used to collect data, which will be distributed among students of selected high schools in the Hradec Králové region.
