The Great British Sailing Ships
Abstract:
This bachelor thesis deals with the role of English and British sailing ship in the history of the United Kingdom. It describes also the development of sailing ships from its beginning to present time, including explanation of differences between various types of ships. At the end of the thesis the author talks about three chosen famous British sailing ships, their voyages and seafarers.
Abstract:
Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o roli, kterou anglické a britské plachetní lodě sehrály v historii Velké Británie. Popisuje také vývoj plachetnic od jejich počátků po dnešní dobu, včetně vysvětlení rozdílů mezi různými druhy lodí. V závěru se autorka věnuje třem vybraným slavným britským plachetnicím, jejich plavbám a mořeplavcům.
